SOUNDING strong and determined to implement the new directives of the Uganda examination body to arrest all school directors and headteachers for grading students who have to be registered for final examinations through elimination methods, as residuals and sell them to others schools, the Wakiso District Education Officer Fredrick Kiyingi Kinobe has vowed to take tough actions.
He has asked parents of affected students to sue the headteachers for psychological, emotional and financial damage due to their failure to present candidateso in fear of registering failures. “How can you admit a child for primary one all through to primary seven and then fail to present him or her for Primary Leaving Examinations, fearing that he or she will fail?” This must immediately stop and any school caught stopping students, will face it rough.
This was during the Greater Wakiso District Headteachers Meeting, hosted by Mr. Justus Mugisha, at Standard High Zana Campus.
Kinobe said, “You are busy bulldozing school management committees into signing for the release of government funds like UPE without work plans and budgets. We will not entertain sabotage.”
Deputy CAO Mr Jude Mark Bukenya warned civil servants who have refused to retire after clocking the mandatory retirement age, that there is no contracts at that age.
“What is it that you have not done in all the years of service that you want to do at 60 years? Give space for deputies to become heads.” he echoed.
The meeting was attended by DIS Thomson Kasule, Senior Education Officer William Mutashaba, Municipal Education Officers & Inspectors of Schools and other stakeholders. Wakiso District Pre and Primary Schools Headteachers’ Association (WAPPSHA) Chairperson William Bwambale praised the unity and cooperation amongst both private and public education institutions in the district, and argued them to strengthen that through nurturing those who under performing in education, athletics, ballgames and MDD to offer holistic education to the communities.
He encouraged all teachers both private or public, retired or practising to register to enable the government screen and root out the infamous ghosts in the payroll and prepare for those effectively.

“It was found that you abused our players and you supported Tooro fans in an attempt to beat Wakiso Giants fans and you also abused your fellow Wakiso Giants fans.” Suspension letter reads.
It was resolved therefore that;

A FEW days after Express FC fired coach George Ssimwogerere, Uganda Premier league new comers Wakiso Giants has also sacked their head coach Livingston Mbabazi!
Looking at what’s going on, the stiff competition in the league will leave several tacticians jobless.
Mbabazi has joined the fired list which has; Paul Nkata from Mbarara FC, Edward golola from Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa’s Vipers FC and others.
WHY MBABAZI HAS BEEN SENT HOME
Our sources in the club management has revealed to us that, Mbabazi had failed to handle the dress room leaving some senior players unhappy with his frequent decisions of leaving them out of the starting lineup in favor of his new recruits, coupling with poor results.
“Mbabazi has failed to create relationship with players. No wonder the club is in position nine in the league.” Quoted our sources.
For starters, Wakiso Giants management see their club as one of the giants in the league and should be locking horns with the likes of KCCA FC , VIPERS and URA FC.
At the time of his shocking sacking, Mbabazi was preparing his side for the round of 32 Uganda Cup clash with MYGA FC today at Kabaka Kyabaggu play ground in Wakiso.
Mbabazi’s short live with Wakiso Giants has earned him two wins, two draws and three losses.
The last one was a 2-1 loss in the hands relegation candidates Tooro FC.We can confirms to you that former SC Villa player Steve Bengo is set stir this team in the remaining games as they look for a new coach but we await to see whether Mbabazi will do a sabbatical or join any other team shortly.
