26 MEMBERS of the Watoto Children’s Choir are among a group of 276 Ugandans, Uganda residents and dependent pass holders who were stranded in the USA due to the COVID-19 pandemic now returned home by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs  (MOFA).

Staff of the Uganda Embassy in Washington led by Amb. Mull Katende (2nd right) at the Dulles International Airport seeing off Ugandans were stranded in USA

Aboard Ethiopian Airlines, the group arrives at Entebbe International Airport today Saturday July 18th 2020.
At Dulles International Airport in USA, the group was yesterday 17th July 2020  seen off by the Ambassador of Uganda to the USA, South America and the Caribbean, H.E. Mull Sebujja Katende who was flanked by Deputy Chief of Mission, Amb. Santa Mary Laker-Kinyera, Permanent Representative of Uganda to the United Nations, Amb. Adonia Ayebare and the staff of the Uganda Embassy.

A second group of 88 passengers will depart from Canada, South America and the Caribbean today 18th July 2020 transiting through Addis Ababa and arrive in Entebbe on 19th July 2020.
According to the press statement released by Madam Margaret Kafeero at the Uganda Embassy in Washington DC last night, travellers from the US and Caribbean included Ugandans, legal residents and their dependants, affected by the March 23rd closure of Entebbe Airport due to COVID-19 concerns.
“The majority of passengers are holders of US visitors visas, F1 and J1 student and research fellow visas and Ugandan resident permit holders who were unable to travel back to Uganda when the airport was closed.” Reads the statement.

The Uganda Embassies in North America also registered a number of stranded Ugandans who had traveled for medical reasons.
Given the closure of numerous borders in both North and South America due to COVID-19 concerns and visa limitations of several of the affected persons it was necessary to create multiple  departure locations, to ensure that everyone who could do so was afforded an opportunity to return.
Amb. Katende explained that the registration and repatriation process, though complex, due to the size of the area of accreditation, had been made possible by the seamless coordination and teamwork of the staff at the three Embassies of Uganda in Washington DC, New York and Ottawa. He paid tribute to his colleagues Amb. Adonia Ayebare (PR New York) and  Amb. Jane Ruth Acheng (Ottawa), the management of Ethiopian Airlines and Mr. Mukesh Sahu of Satguru Travel Solutions for their tireless efforts to reach out and provide guidance to the stranded Ugandans.
He thanked the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Health for putting in place clear guidelines and standard operating procedures to ensure that travellers do not just return to Uganda but ensured that they do so safely.

‘WITHDRAW GUNS & SOLDIERS FROM SIMEO NSUBUGA FOR A LEVELED GROUND’, CONTESTANT SSUULAMPYA PETITIONS M7

NEWS EDITOR

HOURS after Central Executive Committee  (CEC) the supreme organ of NRM ruling Party yesterday approved the Party road map and confirmed that voting through Universal Adult Suffrage shall be by lining up, different contestants have started warming up for the race.
In Kassanda South where the race is expected to be one of the hottest with all media cameras facing that side, youngster Micheal Muhumuza commonly known as Ssuulampya  (New Chapter) has petitioned President Museveni who is also NRM Chairman to withdraw guns and soldiers from the incumbent Simeo Muwanga Nsubuga.
Ssuulampya says, soldiers given to Hon. Simeo to man his security, might be used to shoot and kill NRM members during Party primaries and after losing an election.
Mr. Micheal Muhumuza said, “It’s no longer news that Hon. Simeo Nsubuga’s contract as MP Kassanda South wont be renewed by NRM party members during our Primaries.  He is going to receive the greatest political embarrassment ever.  We are definitely going to defeat him.”
“Because Simeo is shot tempered, it might be disturbing for him to accept defeat and may mislead the gunmen manning his security to start shooting at our people. This is why I have petitioned in time, His Excellency the President to withdraw guns and soldiers from him.” Ssuulampya told us today morning.

Simeo’s  guards have been cited misbehaving and at one time, they almost shot at Ssuulampya supporters who had escorted their man to church to deliver a lorry full of cement.
They blocked Muhumuza from accessing Church fundraising where he had been invited.
When hundreds of his supporters overwhelmed Simeo guards, they attempted to shoot at them, however they were overpowered by a big procession.
Now Ssuulampya says, to avoid bloodshed and level the ground, “Let soldiers and guns be withdrawn from Simeo, good he says he is pro people and very popular. His supporters will protect him.”
“I don’t want to defeat Simeo by 85% and he starts shooting at NRM supporters. Let’s level the ground, we will beat Simeo hands down in NRM Primaries.” Loaded Ssuulampya told the News Editor Media.
In an exclusive interview today morning, Ssuulampya has assured us that Kassanda South has been waiting for NRM’s Roadmap,  now it’s out, let Hon.  Simeo Nsubuga start packing his bags.
“The long awaited time has come. Simeo has been hiding away from his voters thinking that elections will be postponed due to Covid-19. He has no escape route, my camp is ready for any form of election either scientific or biological.” Says Muhumuza Ssuulampya.

Gen. Muhoozi greeting Hon. Micheal Muhumuza Ssuulampya duringthe 1st son birthday fete

Reknown to be close to 1st son Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Mr. Muhumuza told us since November 8th 2017 he has been camped in Kassanda South building schools, repairing boreholes for clean water and paying school fees for hundreds of children from vulnerable families.

“I have so far donated 16 water tanks to both government and Private schools, I have contributed to the construction of churches and Mosques in our constituency giving out bags of cement and other building materials. I have constructed water dams like one at Kyemeza and given it away to the community.” Said Hon. Micheal Muhumuza Ssuulampya adding that, “For three years, i been have engaging myself in community work (commonly known as Bulungibwansi) with our people, we have worked on the road going to Bugolo fishing site which connects Myanzi Subcounty. I am very ready for free and fair NRM Primaries. NRM will speak with a bold voice against Simeo’s candidacy.”

Banking on a team of cordinators and agents he has identified and empowered to preach the gospel in all villages, Parishes and Subcounties making up Kassanda South, Muhumuza refers himself as the said early bird which they say, eats the worm!
“When in 2017 I showed interest in standing for Kassanda South MP on NRM ticket,  Hon. Simeo despised me and said that because I was giving out money to help different groups and institutions, I would soon run out of funds before the time of campaigns. Here I am, am stronger than ever before, and elections are here. It’s time for him to eat his words.”
Showing how Simeo isn’t consistent and that he is a man of lies, Ssuulampya has told us how MP Nsubuga has been spreading lies that, “The money I use to reach out to our people, is from investor Abid Alam. Apart from hearing about Abid Alam, we have never met and I am very sure he doesn’t even know me. Go and tell Simeo, his lies won’t save him.”
“Too much pride has brought him down. He kept on saying he won’t print posters this time because he is powerful. But see, today he goes everywhere kneeling for the people to forgive him. This is an indicator that I have squeezed him and his exit has come. He will lose this election.” Says Ssuulampya
Asked what is pushing him to unseat Hon. Simeo,  this son of Kassanda South reffered us to the four roles and responsibilities of a member of Parliament challenging Simeo to mention only one role he has carried out to its satisfaction.
He said the Primary role is legislation. He said, on this Simeo has been one of the top silent legislators in the 10th Parliament.
“Me I will be different. I will be the voice of my people in Parliament, I will be delivering their views and make public consultations before enacting laws.” Said Ssuulampya.
About the oversight and supervising role in the constituency, he asserts that  Simeo Nsubuga isn’t in good books with local leaders right from LC I to LC V chairpersons.
Asking, how can he then supervise projects like NAADS and rural electrification, among others, Money given by government to youth is not supervised hence leaving gaps in development of the constituency.
Under Appropriation, the member of Parliament is supposed to make follow up on government funds and see whether money sent say for women groups reach the target. The area MP is expected to take part in the appropriation and be in touch with local leaders.
“President Museveni gave Kassanda youth UGX 200M but the MP did not follow up the money and that is why our youth did not benefit.” Muhumuza told us.
On lobbying for his contituents, Muhumuza has asked Simeo to show how and what he has lobbied for Kassanda South.
He has instead hailed his predecessor Hon. Nyombi Thembo who did a very great work and left behind paperwork.
Muhumuza told us, “It clearly indicates which areas he had identified to get electricity, those which wanted water and everything was in the final stages. All paper work was done. This is what is being implemented. Ask the incumbent what he has lobbied, he will have no answer. And we are not even suprised that we arr not qualifying for a ministerial position as Kassanda South.”

LAND QUESTION
On the land question in Kassanda South on which Hon. Simeo is heard most, Mr. Ssuulampya said the MP has totally done nothing apart from confusing people.
He said, solving the land question can’t be a one man job. It would instead involve all local leaders in the constituency.
However, he says Simeo doesn’t work hand in hand with other leaders, he wants to be the only bull in the kraal and  that is why he is a failure.

ROYAL HANDSHAKE: Kabaka Mutebi greeting Hon. Micheal Muhumuza, during last year’s Masaza cup lunch in Mityana

“If I become the area MP, I will make sure the land question is solved once and for all. Kassanda was part of Greater Mubende and most of its land is public land. I will join hands with other leaders and we request the President to come to Kassanda purposely to solve land matters. We will sit with our people and find a solution.” Revealed Ssuulampya.
According to his view, people who are already occupying public land should be given first priority to get land titles or lease for those who are willing. That land should turn into Mile land.
Ssuulampya also cited the issue of Hon. Sam Bitangaro who he affirms was brought by Simeo Nsubuga and is now in possession of a fake title covering villages of Mirembe, Kabulengwa and Kanyogoga.
“Simeo was tricking our people from those villages to pend signature on a petition to have Bitangaro’s title cancelled and at the same time help the villagers to get transfers. “A transfer on a fake title?” Asked Ssuulampya who invited us to Kassanda for a fact finding mission.
He cited another title for farmers Association in Kamuseenene Parish located in Kiganda Subcounty.
“It covers about three villages. The title was put in the bank as Security. The MP took it away from the people and got signatures of committee leaders and money is collected from residents for the bank to keep that title. But how come in a bank where residents don’t have an account is where their title is kept?” Asked Ssuulampya, adding,  “On whose account was that title deposited and who pays money to keep the title? And for how long will they be paying this fee?”
When we asked him whether he has support from Gen. Muhoozi he just laughed and told us, “He is my good friend and my role model. About supporting me, we have never talked about it.”
Recently, Micheal Muhumuza was seen with minister Frank Tumwebaze attending Gen.  Muhoozi’s birth day Party.
It’s suspected,  Muhumuza has big shots in State House who want him in the 11th Parliament.
Let’s watch the space!

SOLIDARITY: TOP MEDIA SENIOR JOURNALIST REFUSES TO CUT OFF HAIR UNTIL GOVT LIFTS BAN ON SALONS

0

ON STRIKE: Adam Al-Mahadi Kungu

NEWS EDITOR

MAKERERE– Kavule based Top Media TV and Radio political talkshow host Adam Al-Mahadi Kungu has vowed not to cut off hair and beards until Government officially lifts ban on Salons.
Saloons were among the businesses whose operation was suspended by government on March 18, as one of the measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

When Kungu (right) hosted Lt. Gen. Henry Tumukunde

Speaking to News Editor Media this evening, Mr. Kungu, The Opinion show host on Top tv Monday to Friday from 8am to 10am said, he has offered to stand with thousands of Salon owners and their employees whose businesses have continued to be closed while Government is mute on when the ban will be lifted.
“These are our brothers and sisters, they have continued to suffer but no one is speaking for them. All our leaders are tight-lipped, they are only heard asking government to open up their Arcades. Who then will fight for Salon operators?  Here I am, let me go on strike as I stand in solidarity.” Said Mr. Kungu.
To appear on a TV set, you are required to be smart, with hair neatly cut. However Kungu says, his viewers must abide with him because he is on strike.

He asked, “If government has been able to come up with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for malls, taxis, arcades, markets, private and public means of transport to resume operations, what is so hard about salons operating?”
“Just like traders, taxi drivers and owners, Boda Boda cyclists, Saloon attendants were as well affected by the pandemic. Government has found ways for allowing some of these people to resume work, but remained silent on saloons, what is the logic?” Asked the Negwozadde and Okwatibwako Top radio talkshow host.
Negwozadde show is one of the most popular radio weekend talkshows.
It runs every Saturday from 8am to 10am. Okwatibwako show runs from Monday to Friday at 7pm to 8pm.

After a Top radio Saturday talkshow with Dr. Besigye

On striking, Kungu has reasoned that, “I have two saloon attendants whom I have been feeding since the announcement of the closure and it is painful to see what they go through to sustain their families, it is bad and ugly, it’s enough.” Four months without earning anything yet some other Ugandans are working is unfair,” notes Kungu.
He explains that since no body is coming out to air out the grievances of people who depend on salons for survival, him being the voice of the voiceless, he has severally used the pen and microphone to reach out to government to put in place guidelines for saloons to open and resume business but his efforts have hit a dead end.
“After failing to make a headway in having salons opened using my different media platforms, I have now decided not cut off my hair and the beard until government listens and acts. SOPs for saloons can be put in place and our brothers and sisters start work again. We can’t look on until we see them die of stress and and hunger,” he explains.

He says much as he appreciates government for guiding the country on COVID-19, time has come for the people to be allowed back to work this time under established guidelines, other than slapping a complete ban on them.

CHAMPIONS DEFEATED: HOW LIVERPOOL BLUNDERS HANDED ARSENAL A WIN WITH PREMIER LEAGUE POINTS NOW OFF THE TABLE

0

Alisson made an individual howler to gift Arsenal…as did Virgil Van Dijk (Credit: Richard Pelham/NMC POOL)

ARSENAL 2:1 LIVERPOOL

IT can be reported that on the evening of July 15, 2020 something extraordinary happened: Virgil Van Dijk made a mistake. With it, and another careless blunder by goalkeeper Alisson, Liverpool’s hopes of making history with a record Premier League points total were tossed away.
They can now ‘only’ finish on 99 points and so the formidable mark set by Manchester City two years ago will remain which will certainly please Pep Guardiola and especially in this week of all weeks when he has gone to war with Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp will say he could not care less about such records and all that matters is a first league title in 30 years. Still beating that century was in Liverpool’s grasp and they have lost three games this season in running away with the title – which is two more defeats than the last campaign when they finished second.

Premier League Table Standings (17 CLub out of 20 clubs)

It is a funny old game and this really was a funny old game as Liverpool totally, utterly and completed dominated and yet were undone, while Arsenal can take great encouragement from beating such a formidable team before they face another one at the weekend with the FA Cup semi-final against City at Wembley.
The statistics reflected Liverpool’s dominance – they had 24 attempts at goal to Arsenal’s three, 13 corners to their opponents’ two and claimed 69 per cent possession (79 per cent in the second-half) – but Mikel Arteta will be delighted with the defensive resolve shown after a lax opening 20 minutes and how they capitalised on their rare opportunities. Still, to give it some further context, it is a result that leaves them just the 40 points behind the champions. “Look at the difference between the two teams, the gap is enormous,” the Arsenal head coach conceded as he once again tellingly reminded his club that a “bigger squad” is needed. “We can’t close it in two months. Now the difference in fight and energy is equal. With that we can create something,” Arteta argued.
Liverpool are also ‘only’ 18 points ahead of City when it looked like they would win the league by a record margin – and still might – and radio phone-ins will now try and stir the debate as to whether Klopp’s side or City’s centurions were the better. The truth is both have been brilliant. “I cannot make a negative out of something so positive – becoming champions so early in the season,” Klopp remarked. “These boys have played an exceptional season and no one can take that away.”
Even so, let us deal with the here and now and, having lost the north London derby through defensive errors, Arteta must have feared the worst with the way his altered team began.
Firstly, goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez drove a clearance against Roberto Firmino with the ball rebounding back and striking the outside of the post. Soon after there was more lack of attention when Lucas Torreira stuck out a hand to stop the ball before pointing to the assistant referee Dan Cook who had flagged for an earlier offside. Rightly, referee Paul Tierney gave a free-kick against Torreira.
Inevitably, from the third example of casual play, Liverpool took the lead. It summed it up as Cedric Soares was beaten in the air by Andrew Robertson, with the Liverpool full-back sprinting forward to collect a pass from Firmino who had been allowed to stroll towards the penalty area. Robertson pulled it back with no Arsenal player tracking Sadio Mane who simply side-footed into the net.
At that point there only appeared one outcome. But everything changed when Fabinho and Van Dijk nonchalantly exchanged passes on the edge of their penalty area before Reiss Nelson put the latter under pressure. Van Dijk felt he was being pulled back by the Arsenal forward as he woefully under-hit a back-pass to Alisson, with Alexandre Lacazette stealing in to round the goalkeeper and side-foot home. For all of Van Dijk’s protestations he had not been fouled and he knew it. “I take the blame. I take it as a man and move on,” he later said.
Quite astonishingly, it was Liverpool who erred again with Alisson playing a slack pass towards Robertson that Lacazette easily intercepted, with the striker quickly picking out Nelson who smartly found the corner of the net with a cross-shot for his first Premier League goal. Little wonder Klopp abandoned the technical area and slumped open-mouthed in disbelief.
“Come on boys, let’s start again,” Alisson shouted, and Liverpool did just that in a second half which, quite frankly, was attack against defence. Arsenal barely left their half as they dropped ever deeper and threw their bodies in the way with admirable determination. Martinez tipped over Mohamed Salah’s improvised scooped shot, effort after effort was blocked, Mane screwed a low drive wide and on it went.
Liverpool felt they should have had a penalty when Kieran Tierney leaned into substitute Takumi Minamino who stumbled and mis-kicked but Arsenal went closest when one of their substitutes, Joe Willock, sliced wide. In injury time it was frantic and frenetic as Martinez turned away a deflected Trent Alexander-Arnold shot as corner after corner was won, but Arsenal stood firm.

STORY OF THE DAY: M7, BOBI FIGHT FOR BAD BLACK AS SOCIALITE DEFECTS FROM PEOPLE POWER TO NRM

Youth National Cordinator Eng. Joseph Sewava handing over copies of NRM credentials to Bad Black today afternoon

NEWS EDITOR

SOCIALITE Shanitah Namuyimbwa commonly known as Bad Black who a week ago declared her support to opposition People Power and endorsed Hon. Bobi Wine for President in 2021 has shockingly defected to ruling National Resistance Movement.
She however denies this and has informed the country to wait for her big announcement this Friday.
Clad in People Power full combat, Bad Black last week told the Nation how she is a Member of the Red Army and appointed herself Bobi Wine’s Special Forces Command (SFC).
A few days later, she treats that as history!
In an exclusive interview at Ibamba Restaurant, Uganda Museum Kampala today, Bad Black said that since her declaration to support Bobi, she has been receiving calls from top Government officials wooing her back from People Power.
“It’s true NRM is my former political party for the last 10 years and I had divorced it  because of not recognising some of its members, I inclusive. Now that the ruling Party has delivered it’s credentials, and pledges to correct its wrongs, let me give NRM a second chance.read extensively and see whether and watch them address my Constituency.” Said Bad Black while receiving copies of NRM Core Principles delivered by Eng. Joseph Mukasa Ssewava, the National Youth cordinator.

THIS IS IT: Eng. Sewava hands over a copy of NRM Core Values to Bad Black

Bad Black who proudly says she commands 9M fans said, by NRM courting her from People Power, they target her supporters to rally behind President Museveni which she is ready to do provided they will be catered for.
“I am ready to meet President Museveni if he will give me a hearing. I represent a very big percentage of the population and no one is talking for them. They feel rejected and forgotten.” Bad Black who fearlessly associates herself with sex workers, told this News Website.
Putting on a black top and jeans, Bad Black said she is yet to cross back to NRM and begs the public not to misinterprete her.
She told us, unlike Full figure who was a member of people power, “NRM has been my party and President Museveni my darling leader until recently when I defected to People power. Issues which made me to go to the opposition are issues affecting over 9M people I lead.”
Asked whether she went to People Power because she was given peanuts from her Covid-19 advert, Bad Black denied saying she doesn’t work for money, she is a billionaire no one can buy her.
“Ok tell me, how much did People Power give me to support Bobi Wine?  If they did not, why would you think NRM has bought me? I don’t get my money from politics.” Said Bad Black.
On his side, Eng. Sewava who eyes Bukomansimbi District NRM Chairman seat, the ruling Party decided to sweet talk Bad Black back to the mass party because of her potential.
“I have been assigned by top party leadership to meet our sister Bad Black and deliver copies of NRM party credentials which our other sister Zari asked from People Power but in vain. Here we are, she has received them.” Said Eng. Sewava who excuted the mission , adding,  “We expect her to read and see how organised NRM is and why Ugandans have been voting president Museveni again and again. We cant allow Namuyimbwa to be misled.”
If NRM successfully signs Bad Black, she will be deployed on social media and meeting ladies of her stature, to get votes for NRM in the comming scientific elections.
Sewava revealed how NRM think tank is plotting to fish Jose Chameleon, Barbie Kyagulanyi and Eddy Yawe from People Power to NRM.

BY MEDDIE KITYO

A POLITICAL war launched by the Youth Affairs Minister Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi against President Museveni’s daughter has landed her into problems making her 2021 MP bid in Bukomansimbi impossible!
Top leadership in NRM want her investigated on allegations of misusing President Museveni’s money to bankroll opposition politicians fighting ruling Party candidates in the forth coming elections.
The top target is Bukomansimbi North MP Ruth Fatuma Katushabe, who is President Museveni’s daughter.
It is suspected that on getting intelligence briefing about what’s going on in Greater Masaka, particularly Bukomansimbi, the Head of State who is also NRM Party Chairman has assigned his blue eyed boy Joseph Mukasa Sewava to take over this region.
Sewava is contesting for Bukomansimbi District NRM Chairman and his chances to  sail through are very high being that he has been annointed by President Museveni.
Sewava will contest with the incumbent Shafik Mwanje who NRM members in Bukomansimbi say are not comfortable with.
Sewava has been assigned with the responsibility of securing a win for President Museveni and all candidates subscribing to NRM in Bukomansimbi come 2021 polls.

NAKIWALA TROUBLES
NRM party has petitioned top leaders rejecting her bid to stand for Bukomansimbi woman MP on their flag as she wants.
They are citing a plot orchestrated by Nakiwala and her clique in opposition DP to oust Hon. Ruth Katushabe from MP Bukomansimbi North seat and replace her with Justice Forum’s Muhammad Kateregga.
According to intelligence briefing, Nakiwala who is seeking for clearance from NRM delegates in the district to contest for woman MP shows, she is in bed with Kateregga to front him next MP Bukomansimbi which is currently represented by Hon. Katushabe.
Kateregga is the Bukomansimbi District Chairperson.
For starters, Ruth Katushabe is president Museveni’s daughter and he physically presided over her Kuhingira (Introduction) function which tool place in Bukomansimbi in 2015.

Museveni gave away Ruth Katushabe to city businessman Haji HB Matovu. She was since named Ruth Fatuma Katushabe.
In 2016, Katushabe contested and massively won Bukomansimbi North MP race.
Just one term in Parliament, Nakiwala want Katushabe out and Muhammad Kateregga in, something that has angered NRM leadership in Bukomansimbi.
They have petitioned party leaders to throw Nakiwala out of NRM Primaries where she has interest to contest and win party flag for Bukomansimbi District woman MP.
Acording to Nakiwala’s game plan, she wants her husband Hon. Deogratius Kiyingi to bounce back as Bukomansimbi South MP, Kateregga to take Bukomansimbi North and for her, wins the District Woman MP slot.
“We can’t tolerate Nakiwala’s intrigue. Let her go back and contest on DP ticket in Kampala. In NRM we don’t want her games. We are targeting Harimah Nakawungu to contest for Bukomansimbi MP.” Vowed NRM supporters who petitioned the ruling Party leadership.
They have even threatened to force President Museveni to fire her because they have realized, she is a political mole who shouldnt be trusted with such an office.
They asked, “Who is Nakiwala to fight Hon. Ruth Katushabe and now she wants our party flag? What does Nakiwala know about NRM? So a house girl wants to set up family rules and regulations? Sorry, let her take that wiseacre to DP.”
All indicators show, NRM is not ready to give Nakiwala their Party card yet Democratic Party which fronted her in Kampala last General elections,  has zeroed on Hon. Veronica Nanyondo Bbeeyiyabirime in Bukomansimbi, who they are not ready to substitute.

DETAILS
In 2016, Nakiwala Kiyingi contested for Woman MP Kampala on Democratic Party ticket and lost to FDC’s Nabilah Naggayi Ssempala.
Although President Museveni later appointed her Youth Affairs Minister, Nakiwala remained paying allegiance to DP as her political party.
No where has she ever declared leaving or returning DP card.
Sensing that Kampala people are not interested in her services, Nakiwala shifted to Bukomansimbi to contest against DP girl Veronica Nanyondo.
However, opposition distanced itself from Nakiwala who has been seen on many functions dancing on NRM tunes.
“She is neither DP nor NRM.  A very  confused person who can’t be trusted.” Said NRM leaders.
In NRM, she has picked people like Ssebuggwawo, Kitanda chairman to woe other NRM members to her side and in DP she is using one Lawrence Mukasa to confuse DP members. Mukasa is DP organizing Secretary Bukomansimbi North.

A GREEN SNAKE IN  GREEN GRASS?
After realizing that in Bukomansimbi, DP has its own candidates and can not trust Nakiwala any more, she decided to form her political command in the district.
She locked out NRM leaders and waged a war against Hon. Ruth Katushabe, at the same time plotting against DP’s Veronica Nanyondo.
She instead wanted to use a few hired DP members in Bukomansimbi, NRM leaders in the district and at the same time positioning herself as a saint in NRM.
It was until NRM leadership realised that Nakiwala’s plot was to make sure NRM in Bukomansimbi is defeated for good.
Leaders say, Nakiwala wanted to hoodwink the ruling Party into giving her a ticket to stand for Woman MP yet at the same time she has fought out other NRM MPs.
Concerned NRM leaders asked, “If Nakiwala really supports NRM and president Museveni, why do you front JEEMA’s Muhammad Kateregga against our MP Ruth Katushabe? Are we fools who can’t realize that Nakiwala is an enemy to NRM? She is a real green snake in  green grass.”

OPPORTUNIST & GREED
In Bukomansimbi, NRM say they can’t allow  the same family to occupy three positions.  They say, “Her husband Kiyingi is a Member of Parliament. Nakiwala is a minister. And she also wants to be a Woman member of Parliament? Why give the same family that much? As if our children never went to school? No way!”

HOW SSWAVA MADE NAKIWALA A MINISTER
Insiders who know how Nakiwala Kiyingi was appointed Youth minister have told this News Website that, consultations had to be conducted before naming her.
Among those counducted are the youth led by Joseph Mukasa Sewava, the NRM National Youth cordinator.
We talked with Mr. Sewava who confirmed this.
He said, “Yes I remember, Gen. Salim Saleh called and asked me about Hon. Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi. Ofcourse what we talked about was confidential which I can’t say out in media but you just know, i recommended her.”
For starters, Gen. Saleh was too much influential in determining who is appointed a minister in the 2016 cabinet.
In fact, he camped at then Serene Suites Mutundwe to write a full cabinet list to President Museveni, on who and who should be appointed.
This is where power broker in NRM Joseph Sewava was met by Museveni’s brother to recommend Nakiwala.
We were told, Ssewava led Nakiwala to Gen. Saleh and the rest is history.
A few moths after President Museveni appointed Nakiwala Youth minister, NRM youth wanted to beat her infront of Muzeeyi saying she is incompetent and must be fired.
Sewava held a meeting with David Kabanda, another powerful youth in NRM to strategize on how they can sale Nakiwala to youth so that they don’t embarrass her again.
It was this Kabanda who awarded Hon. Ronald Kibuule a certificate of incompetence when he was the minister in charge of Youth Affairs.
A few days later,  President Museveni moved him to another ministry. Nakiwala feared that youth led by Kabanda wanted her out. Sewava convinced him how she will be different if given time.
This is how Sewava took Nakiwala Kiyingi to Kasambya where Kabanda is going to stand for member of Parliament in 2021, to launch his Football tournament.

Sewava approached other youth leaders in NRM and requested them to ceasefire.
“On realizing that there was no longer opposition, Nakiwala convinced cabinet how she had sorted out the youth and that is why they were quiet.” Sources told us.
NRM Youth have risen up against Nakiwala again and this time she might not survive. They are not happy on how she is weakening NRM.

IS NAKIWALA TARGETING MAO’S JOB?
Other schools of thought state that, Nakiwala is using money gotten from government to facilitate sections of DP leaders who she well uses in her plan to contest against Chairman Mao for DP President General.
She is said to be the funder of a group fighting Norbert Mao.
Her close friends say, Nakiwala is a minister on the mercy of President Museveni, if Mzee retires, she will not need NRM any more. So it’s better to be in secret dealings with some DP leaders thinking they will be useful when she moves in to contest for the DP top
office.
