TODAY morning, Deputy Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon Anita Annet Among met with the team captains of the different disciplines that will be representing the parliament of Uganda at the interparliamentary games in Arusha, Tanzania. The meeting was in her office at Parliament.
The deputy speaker who returned to the Country yesterday Sunday afternoon has assured the teams of the commitment of the leadership of parliament to support them to excel and network with other leaders from the region during the tournament.
Parliament of Uganda will be sending teams to the tournament that kicks off early next month.
The interparliamentary games bring together MPs and staff of parliaments from across the East African Community and an opportunity for leaders to network and discuss ways of ensuring the region works together to promote shared interests.
