THE 8th edition of Midland Group National Primary School Gala has been lsunched with over 40 National schools having 800 swimmers registered for the competitions.
This championship is scheduled for Saturday March 7th 2020 at Green Hill Academy who also double as defending champions.
Categories for competition will be Butterfly, Free Style Breast stroke and back stroke for ages 8-12, 9- 10, and 11-12 respectively.
The gala that’s sponsored by the Midland Group of companies in partnership with Uganda Swimming Federation, aims at promoting swimming in national schools, it been running for close to 10 years.
In the past the event has been hosted by Rainbow International School attracting only six schools in the past.
“To us as Midland Group of Companies,we feel that through supporting swimming in national schools, Uganda will have a wide base of national swimmers in the near future….” Said Mrs. Drashna Kotecha, Director Rainbow International School, Kampala.
