THE Rt. Hon. Speaker of Parliament Anita Annet Among together with FUFA President Hon. Eng. Moses Magogo has flagged off Team Uganda for the CAF African Schools Football Championship that will take place in Accra, Ghana, between 23 –26 April 2025.

Madam Speaker has urged the players to maintain the spirit of pan-Africanism, discipline, and professionalism at the games.She pledged the government’s continued support to sports through talent identification and infrastructural development, adding that Parliament will also continue to prioritise sports financing.
In her tweet, Speaker Anita has posted, “This morning, I had the honour of sending off a team of exceptionally talented boys and girls from St. Mary’s Kitende and St. Noah Girls School. They will represent Uganda at the CAF African Schools Football Championship 2025 in Ghana.”

Eight countries will be competing in Ghana for the US$300,000 prize, with the runners-up receiving US$ 200,000 and US$150,000 for 3rd best team.
