AHEAD of President Museveni commissioning of the newly constructed Hamz Stadium Nakivubo War Memorial Ground in the heart of Kampala, owner, money magnet Hamis Kiggundu of Ham Group of Companies has built a world class gym facility and a modern boxing ring, first of its kind in East and Central Africa. Insiders say, it has costed Ham billions of shillings.
Mr. Kiggundu has also installed Basketball and Netball Equipment & Facilities latest on the world market and hired experts to fix them at Hamz Stadium, a stadium identified by Africa’s football governing body CAF to host AFCON 2027 matches.
A team from UPDF Engineering Brigade was seen at the stadium working against the clock to make sure all is fixed well for the stadium to be officially launched before the year 2023 ends.
Latest from Nakivubo War Memorial ground, the pitch is completed and access to the turf is restricted, basketball and netball playing courts installed with latest facilities, boxing ring which will host boxing fights is already set and gym installed.
What remains is just minor finishing and then, the Stadium will be put to use in a few days from now.
