With members of his entourage, Katikkiro Mayiga was received by Rt. Hon. Speaker of Parliament Anita Annet Among, her Deputy Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa, Leader of Opposition Mathias Nsamba Mpuuga, Chairman Buganda caucus Hon. Muhammad Muwanga Kivumbi and a team of members of Parliament.

Katikkiro signed the condolence book at Parliament and later entered into a meeting at the VIP lounge with his host, Speaker Anita. Meeting was attended by Deputy Speaker, LOP and other leaders. On behalf of Buganda Kingdom, Katikkiro extended heartfelt condolences for the loss of Rt. Hon. Oulanyah. He congratulated Speaker Anita and deputy Tayebwa upon their election last week. He pledged support to their leadership and urged them to lead a united Parliament and also give priority to matters of National importance.
