RUBAGA SOUTH MP Aloysius Mukasa is indeed one of the greatest and generous legislators Kampala has ever had!
From raising matters of National Importance in Parliament to standing in for his constituents whenever they need a hand of help, Hon. Aloysius Mukasa yesterday rescued a team of National Unity Platform (NUP) leaders led by Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Speaker Zahara Luyirika who were arrested last week for demonstrating against mistreatment and eviction of street vendors by NRM government officials.
Speaker Zahara Luyirika and her councilors who includes Kigozi Rose Nalubwama, Nalubega Fausta Bitaano, Nansubuga Winnie and many others were last week remanded to either Kitalya min max prison or Kigo.
The four who were released on court bail yesterday, we’re picked from Kigo by MP Aloysius Mukasa who was accompanied by Lord councilor Faridah Nakabugo and other councilors.
Our sources told us, Hon. Mukasa since last week, he has been doing everything possible to make sure NUP leaders are released.The first to rescue others is on.
