IN HER efforts to transform women’s lives and improve on the household incomes in Maracha District, the Woman Member of Parliament Hon. Rose Ayaka has fulfilled her campaign pledge in line with the NRM manifesto by boosting the SACCOs through training in horticulture, literacy, animal keeping, tailoring, drama and savings.
She offered to pay for the training of all members of Alio Atizu SACCO group in Amanipi, Yivu. The training will involve mushroom growing, crafts making, handbags, bakery, and books keeping to enable them run the SACCO efficiently.
Speaking to group members, Hon. Ayaka said, “Am here to caution you against politics of divisions within the group, you should embrace one another and always encourage your friends to participate actively.”
She appreciated them for what they are doing and offered one million towards their savings.
Hon Ayaka has lobbied for Maracha District Teachers SACCO and recently they under went training from Walimu Teacher’s SACCO, the apex for all teacher’s in Uganda.
She asked her people to be vigilante about the coronavirus and take all the precautionary measures to ensure that lives are not lost, much as it still sounds distant but we must prepare ourselves.
Hon Ayaka reassured people of Maracha that President Museveni is committed to connecting West Nile to the national grid and once the transmission lines are finished and the sub station in Nyowa and Nebbi done, all of us in West Nile will be connected and businesses will thrive and investments take root.
She commended UPDF and the government for ensuring peace and security in the region.
